Sunroom Furniture

A sunroom is basically a structure which is constructed onto one of the sides of the house. The main purpose of it is to enjoy the surrounding landscape while being sheltered from varying and adverse weather like rain, wind, sunny etc; it acts as the best indoor time spending place in all the seasons.

This concept is very popular in many European countries and America, Canada, New Zealand. In many places it is described as conservatory though the room contains the plants rarely and it is an indoor place to have a solid roof.  I remember when I used to live countryside the big sunroom like place we had. It was indeed an open place having only a roof not walls but all our family used to have a evening tea there.

The main use of sunroom is the place to enjoy, but it can be used for many purposes some are explained below,

1) Place to enjoy weather: The main feature of sunroom is, it is an indoor place sometimes with open walls and sometimes with transparent walls. So you can enjoy a lot any weather condition here. Such as rainy season with a cup of hot tea in hand.

2) Grow some indoor plants: Many people have dream of a plant nursery but for most of the people it remains a dream due to many problems. But if you have a sunroom you can grow some bonsai or indoor plants to fulfill your dream. It will allow you to enjoy them any season and sun is always there to nourish them for you.

3) Meditation or a Place to Think: Thinking and Meditation are two very important things in any once life. It’s a medium of peace for many people and sunroom will definitely server this purpose for all of them.

By all above points we can see that sunroom is a very important place for our home and we need to be very careful about its decoration. We need to design furniture for sunroom very carefully because it’s a place to relax not to be used as store room. Whenever you enter the sunroom you should feel relax and energetic not dull. As sunroom furniture will be exposed to the sun rays continuously wicker sunroom furniture will not last long.

Always remember following points while choosing the furniture,

2)      Furniture shouldn’t be bulky and too much space consuming.
