Mild Asthma

We have talked about Asthma home remedies in another article. That will be helpful for all types of asthma including a subtype called as mild asthma. Mild asthma is same as chronic asthma, only difference is it have less severity than the chronic one.

The symtoms of the mild asthma can be stated as follows,

1) Coughing: The main symptom of any asthma type is coughing. Cough is fluid symptom produced in lungs. Sometimes asthma can induce dry cough also. In mild asthma coughing may not last more than 5-7 minutes.
2) Wheezing: Wheezing is the sound produced by breath while having cough inside your chest or lungs. It sound like a wheeze, so called as wheezing. It is a general indication of upcoming attack. So when you have Asthma and start getting cough and wheezing, prepare yourself for an attack.
3) Lack or shortness of breath: In the mild asthma attack, you will feel trouble during breathing. Its due to the respiratory duct contraction.
4) Small pain in the chest, or tightness in the chest: While you get an attack, you may feel little pain in the chest. It’s due to cough. Sometimes you may feel the tightness also.

The causes are as follow,
1) Allergy: Allergy is the main cause of asthma, and it can be to anything. Like allergy to weather (Cloudy weather often induces asthma in many people). Allergy to Animals (Cat or Dog hairs can induce an attack).
2) Dust and pollutants: It’s a type of allergy only, but it is more common than other allergies, so a separate point. Dust is made up of very tiny particles, and they enter your respiratory system, and cause the attack. It’s always good to wear a mask, while going into a dusty area.
3) Genetic Reasons: Its hereditary reasons, if you have a family history of the asthma, you have chances to get one too.
4) Other diseases: Many severe illness diseases can induce the asthma inside you, like prolonged pneumonia or hiv.

Mild asthma attack is not a severe attack, and will last for 5-7 minutes only. You can take medicines to take faster relieve. But the thing to worry is, if it becomes the mild persistent asthma, it may develop into the chronic asthma. So periodic visit to doctor is very necessary to keep it under control. Another thing to consider is, sometimes small children’s get mild asthma symptoms, but we take them casually as they may not describe it clearly. But if it remains untreated, it may turn into chronic one. So if your children get a minor attack k also, it is a viable option to consult a doctor.
