84A cough is a forceful release of air from the lungs which can be heard by human ears. Coughing is actually used to protect the respiratory system by clearing it of irritants and secretions. So you might think that coughing is good, yes but for few times only. If it increases, it can become a disaster for you.
Generally cough is a reflex triggered by human body, if any cough receptors are found at any level of respiratory system. The reflex is triggered by cough centre of brain. Generally all peoples cough twice to thrice in a hour to clear the respiratory duct’s. But if respiratory system becomes infected, the coughing gets increased, and it becomes more and more painful for the person to control it. It is also called sometimes as allergy cough. In many cases the cough lasts for 1-2 weeks, but sometimes it can last more than that, and it can be a sign of pneumonia.
Cough is either dry cough or productive cough. Dry cough is more irritating for the body. The colour of productive cough depends up on the infection; it can be green, gray, and red (if blood is falling with it). The inclusion of blood in septum (cough) is considered to be a serious sign. Causes and symptoms of cough due to allergy,
1) Bronchitis: It is inflammation of the mucous membranes of the bronchial tubes.
2) Pneumonia: It is a serious bacterial infection, which can lead to critical condition if not treated as early as possible.
3) Cold AKA Influenza: This is the most general cause of cough.
4) Tuberculosis: It is also a very serious bacterial infection and can lead to very critical condition.
5) Fungal Infection: Sometimes infection by parasites like fungus can lead to dry cough.
6) Environmental pollutants: It includes dust, cigarette smoke, drug smoke. It is another reason for you to avoid smoking.
7) Asthma: It is one of the major causes of the cough. If you have asthma, treat it well.
Treatment for allergy and cough
In the treatment of cough, it is the most important step is to know the reason or allergy behind it. Once we get to know about the allergy, we can give specific treatment and medicines to the patient. And get the cough cures in days, than months. This is a terrible article! Not only awful grammar, but outright mistakes, such as "Cold AKA Influenza"- what?? Since when is a cold the same as the flu? And this: "The inclusion of blood in septum" (should be sputum). And how are "Causes and symptoms of cough due to allergy" related to Tuberculosis or fungal infection? This article should be removed ASAP and replaced with something not so full of errors and terrible writing.
